Our Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 is a state-of-the-art cruising catamaran, designed to offer the perfect balance between performance and comfort at sea. It’s large enough to give us plenty of living space and amenities, yet comfortable and safe enough to sail to the most remote regions. With three Queen beds and three private bathrooms, it's large enough for 6-8 people, and private enough for everyone to have their own space. We spent time getting our boat ready to live off-grid. With plenty of solar, water makers, and large battery banks, it can live in remote islands for months, allowing us to go and enjoy some of the most pristine islands on Earth. ​​​​​​

COS offers plenty of space for our family and guests to comfortably live, relax, and enjoy life on the water. The wide beam provides excellent stability while sailing, and the overall design maximizes comfort whether we're at anchor or out at sea.

Interior Comfort & Cabin Layout

COS is an owner’s version of the Helia 44, which means it’s been customized for extended liveaboard comfort. The interior features an open-plan saloon that’s bathed in natural light thanks to panoramic windows that surround the living space.

Owner’s Suite: The star of the interior is the owner’s cabin, which spans one entire hull of the boat. This private retreat includes a spacious queen-sized bed, large portholes offering stunning ocean views, a private desk and workspace, and ample storage. The ensuite bathroom features a large shower, double sinks, and plenty of room for all the essentials. The bathroom has a washer/dryer for on-board laundry.

Guest Cabins: In the opposite hull, COS has two beautifully appointed guest cabins, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The cabins feature queen-sized beds, large windows, and plenty of storage space. Both cabins are bright and airy and provide the perfect retreat for our guests to relax after a day of adventure.​

Saloon & Galley: The heart of the boat is the large saloon with a fully equipped U-shaped kitchen. The galley has everything we need to prepare delicious meals while cruising, including an electric stove, cooktop, gas range, stove, oven, fridge, freezer, and ample counter space. We have an ice maker, espresso machine/coffee maker, and juicer. The dining area is comfortable, with seating for 8 outside, perfect for sharing meals, playing games, or just lounging comfortably while enjoying the panoramic views.

Entertainment: We've upgraded the boat with a large sound system and added a TV with Starlink internet, and at night, we have a home theater outside for movie nights.

Cockpit: The spacious cockpit is the ideal place for dining al fresco or lounging with a drink. With a large table and cushioned seating, it’s perfect for hosting meals, socializing, or simply enjoying the shade while taking in the surroundings. The cockpit is covered, providing protection from the sun while still allowing the breeze to flow through.

Flybridge: Above the cockpit, the flybridge offers panoramic 360-degree views of the ocean. This elevated space is where we often sip our morning coffee, read, or relax with a glass of wine at sunset. It’s also the best spot for watching dolphins, whales, and the occasional flying fish as we sail along.

Trampoline with Covered Shade: On the forward part of the boat, the trampoline is where we love to relax and take in the surroundings. Stretching across the space between the hulls, it’s the perfect spot to lay back and enjoy the breeze. With a covered shade above, it offers a comfortable retreat from the sun during the day, making it ideal for reading, taking an afternoon nap, or simply lounging in comfort. At night, we’ve installed underwater lights to allow you to see the sea life below.

Paddleboards & Kayaks: We carry paddleboards and a kayak onboard, perfect for exploring remote anchorages, paddling through crystal-clear lagoons, or just getting a little exercise while enjoying the views.

Snorkeling & Diving: COS is equipped with snorkeling gear for everyone, allowing us to dive into some of the world’s most vibrant coral reefs. Whether it’s swimming with rays and turtles in the Tuamotus or diving in the Society Islands, underwater exploration is a favorite activity aboard COS.

Fishing Gear: For those who love fishing, COS is well-equipped with fishing rods and gear. We often catch fresh fish while sailing, and nothing beats the experience of cooking up a meal with the catch of the day.

Swimming & Relaxing: With easy access to the water via the swim platform at the stern, jumping in for a swim is as simple as stepping off the boat. The large trampoline and comfortable seating areas also make it perfect for relaxing with a good book or soaking in the sun.

Hydrogenerator: When we’re underway, our hydrogenerator produces electricity from the motion of the boat, allowing us to generate power while sailing, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.

Large Lithium Battery Bank: Our lithium battery bank stores energy efficiently, ensuring we have reliable power at all times. The high capacity allows us to run essential systems like lighting, electronics, and the fridge even during cloudy days or calm periods when we’re not generating solar or hydroelectric power.

Water Maker: COS is equipped with a water maker that transforms seawater into fresh drinking water, giving us complete independence from shore-based water supplies. This ensures we always have fresh water for drinking, cooking, and bathing, even when we're far from civilization.
